Kent Animal Shelter Site Plan Amendment – Discussion of an amendment to an existing site plan for Kent Animal Shelter, approved by Resolution No. 2023-080, dated September 21, 2023. Originally approved site plan included the demolition and reconstruction of two existing buildings (3,091 SF and 1,045 SF), along with site improvements including the installation of a new sanitary system, parking improvements, site drainage, and a native landscaped buffer along the southern portion of the parcel. Amendment application seeks to change the location of an on-site hydrant, renovate rather than demolish/reconstruct an existing kennel building, and elevation alterations for the kennel building. No other changes to the previously approved site alignment plan are proposed.
