Ants at Work, June 2019

This ant mound is near Lake Kilpisjärvi, Finland, well north of the Arctic circle. Sound was gathered from several transducers. The site is one of many and thanks to Dr. Antero Järvinen for introducing me to his research here.

Much of this work is from the Kilpisjärvi Biological Research station, north of the Arctic Circle near the 3 country border with Finland, Norway and Sweden. Work was recorded from 2014-2019 and some work edited later.
