Anthony White is an award-winning artist based in Seattle and represented by Greg Kucera Gallery. Working primarily with polylactic acid (PLA), a biodegradable plastic commonly associated with 3D printing, White employs an unconventional process that bridges traditional practices and contemporary modes of making. Influenced by 16th- and 17th-century Dutch vanitas paintings, he explores the relationships between objects and their environments and between people and the spaces they inhabit. His work examines the everyday, offering nuanced and often overlooked interpretations of contemporary life, both on and off-screen.
Lectures on art and art-related topics are offered on a regular basis. Sponsored by the Art Committee.
