Here are the meeting highlights for the April 9, 2024 City of Kalamazoo Citizens Public Safety Review and Appeal Board meeting. Having no pending appeal the board briefly reviewed the 2024 portion of the Police Complaint Review Report with KDPS Inspector Chuck Mason including 12 total complaints. As the 2023 report has been recently completed it will be sent to the Chief’s office for review. The May 14 meeting has been canceled - the next Public Safety Review and Appeal Board meeting will be Tuesday June 11. The Board will soon be announcing outreach events for listening sessions and further engagement with the public.
