“VUE” – Voices Uniting Everyone – is hosted by Larry Davis, Vice Chancellor of Belonging and Purpose at Austin Community College and Dr. LaKisha Barrett, ACC Biology Associate Professor. In this episode, Larry and Kisha learn about the different nursing tracks (LVN, RN, RN-to-BSN) at ACC with Dr. Tiffany Ricks, ACC Nursing Associate Dean, and her former student, Esme Yarvis, ACC Nursing Graduate. Tiffany discusses her work in the classroom with her students and how to inspire faculty in her department through professional development opportunities. Esme breaks down her journey to ACC, how the program gave her the flexibility to take classes and work, and how she and Dr. Ricks even wrote a paper together, based on a class assignment, that was published in professional journal Nursing Open.
