Saima Park was filled with the sounds and flavors of Uruguay as a large crowd gathered for URUFest, an annual celebration of the country’s independence.

Music and traditional dancing carried across the grounds while families stopped for Uruguayan food and spent the day together. The festival drew people from Fitchburg and beyond, giving members of the Uruguayan community a place to reconnect with their heritage while sharing it with others.
