Fall 2025 Speaker Series: Innovative Multifamily Homes How Low Can We Go? Modern Airtightness Targets in Multifamily Housing with Nate Gusakov Driven by code, available incentives, and forward-thinking design teams, many of the recent or upcoming large multifamily new construction projects in Vermont are targeting (and usually achieving) airtightness levels that approach those of certified PHIUS buildings. Using examples from local case studies, this presentation gives an overview of the current journey towards ultra-airtightness in large buildings including challenges, lessons learned, and thoughts on the future.
