ACC About Town | Vote Early Concert with Jessie Murph

In this episode of ACC ABOUT TOWN, ACC Journalism Student, Precious Mosely, takes us behind the scenes at the ACL Live at the Moody Theater for a concert by Alabama singer, songwriter, and pop artist, Jessie Murph! Austin Community College won this FREE concert for its students and the community as part of the nonpartisan Community College Concert Competition, created by Levi’s and MTV Entertainment Studios, alongside the Students Learn Students Vote Coalition, the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, and Good Trouble Collaborative. The goal? To encourage everyone to vote early in elections! This past fall, the college featured parades to the polls from various campuses, helping and encouraging community college students to make their voices heard by early voting. And at the concert, we got to hear from the people behind this great work, the fans that came out to support democracy, ACC’s Student Government Representatives, and how it all culminates to a concert with Jessie Murph!
