Board members received updates on the winter so far from the Needham Department of Public Works, and heard of an upcoming acquisition that promises to keep roads safe and save the town money. They also got an update on the implementation of a Quiet Zone for the MBTA, which included both good news about the insurance prospects, but also impracticalities about implementing a pilot program in one neighborhood this year.
