Needham Channel coverage of the Needham Planning Board meeting held at the Public Services Administration Building on August 4, 2026.

The Needham Planning Board met on August 4th with several items on the agenda. They began the meeting with a Public Hearing regarding an Aquifer Protection Special Permit for the property at 636 Charles River Street requesting to apply herbicide for non-domestic, non- agricultural uses. Next, Board members voted to refer both the Large House Zoning Article for the Building Height Requirements in the Single Residence B District and the Zoning Article for the Half Story Floor Area Requirements in the Single Residence B District to the Select Board, after having several lengthy discussions during previous meetings on the topic. Next, they discussed three cases from the Zoning Board of Appeals’ meeting that will be held on August 20th. Later on, the Planning Board quickly went over the minutes of previous meetings, as well as any reports the members had regarding the Committees they’re a part of. Lastly, Board Members briefly mentioned any Correspondence before adjourning.
