Saving trees from the proverbial axe may be the goal of this group, but the theme for the evening was striking a balance. The committee is quickly wrapping up its business and is scheduled to propose a zoning by-law to the Select Board in late May. But it is never easy to create something new. With some people thinking the committee is overstepping, and others arguing they aren't going far enough, organizers are hoping they found solid middle ground.
