Staff presented the final report of the city’s organizational equity audit at Tuesday’s Committee of the Whole. What were your and council’s initial reactions to the presentation? And how does this impact or change the city’s future efforts? 3. The council also considered nominees for the prestigious James J. Reininger and Charles D. Ashley Awards. 4. There was a Special Committee of the Whole Meeting on September 12 during which the council met to discuss and take possible action on the library renovation and expansion project. What did the council decide? 5. On Tuesday, the Mayor presented a proclamation to Jerry Hahn. What was included in this proclamation presentation?

1. The Mayor’s 2023 Recommended Budget will be presented during a Special Committee of the Whole meeting on October 10. Even though this is when the Council and public will get a first look at the 2023 budget, the process to develop the budget starts even earlier. Can you walk our viewers through the process? 2. At the September 19 Common Council meeting, the Council approved the 2024-2033 Capital Improvement Plan. What is the relationship between the CIP and the operating budget? 3. What are the upcoming dates for the budget work sessions, and will there be a time or place for residents to express their opinion on the budget? 4. What other documents available to help residents understand the City’s finances? And will the budget be on the city website for the public to view once it is available? 5.
