1. We recently finished celebrating the 70th Annual Sweet Corn Festival in Sun Prairie! From the city’s perspective, can you share with our viewers how the event went? 2. An excessive Heat Warning was in effect Wednesday through Thursday for southern Wisconsin and resulted in the cancelation of the city’s Night Market. Summer is a busy time for the Parks and Forestry Division as you oversee and maintain all of our city parks and tree canopy. How many parks are there, and what are some of the other responsibilities of your division? 3. Last year, you completed a tree inventory and installed several pollinator gardens in partnership with the Parks Friends. What are the benefits of completing a tree inventory and installing pollinator gardens? 4. Planning is an important part of your department’s work. What is the importance of park planning and how do they inform future park improvements? 5. Is there anything else you’d like to share with our viewers?
