The Oakland Township Parks and Recreation Commission and the Board of Trustees held a Ribbon-cutting Ceremony for the 234-acre Fox Nature Preserve on May 22, 2023. 1627 W. The purchase of this 234-acre property, which protects water resources, rare species, and special habitats, was funded by a Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund grant that covered 75% of the purchase price and funds from Oakland Township’s Land Preservation millage with the assistance of Six Rivers Land Conservancy.
