On December 20, 2023 at Robinson Park Recreation Center, Congresswoman Judy Chu of the 28th District of California presented a $900,000 federal grant to the Pasadena Public Health Department for the Pasadena Outreach Response Team. PORT provides extensive support to people experiencing homelessness, severe mental illness, substance use disorders, physical disabilities, and complex chronic health conditions in Pasadena. PORT is a collaboration between Pasadena Public Health and Fire departments, as well as Union Station Homeless Services and Huntington Health.
