Born to a freed slave in 1860, Albert White went on to become a highly respected builder and mason throughout the Kalamazoo area. For generations, his name was forgotten from the history books, but his decedents kept his memory and legacy alive. Albert White is now being recognized for all the incredible work he did in life and the lives his memory continues to inspire.
