Fitchburg State University kicked off the academic year with its second annual State of the University Celebration on the campus quad.

The event honored faculty milestones and staff achievements, while President Donna Hodge highlighted rising enrollment and announced a new tuition-free pathway for Fitchburg residents. She described this as the university’s “year of momentum,” focused on stabilizing, healing, and transforming, with continued investment in student success and community partnerships.
