As summer edges toward its close, Fitchburg residents are finding ways to savor the season’s final stretch.

At Fitchburg State, the Thursday Night Series brought goats, chicks, and color-dyed shirts to the Quad in a playful community event that drew families, students, and neighbors together. Down the street, the Marquee Art Gallery’s Ethereal Resistance installation offered a powerful meditation on identity and expression through mixed media. Meanwhile, the Fitchburg Military Band filled the Senior Center with lively arrangements ranging from cartoon themes to classic marches in a free concert open to all.
