A group of activists walking across Massachusetts from Williamstown to Beacon Hill stopped in Fitchburg as part of the Walk for a New Dawn.

The group is traveling from community to community to advocate for changing the Massachusetts state flag and seal, protecting what they describe as sacred lands, and promoting respect for all people. Their Fitchburg stop came just a month after the City Council unanimously backed efforts to create a new state flag and seal.
