Vijayakumar Thuraissigiam (2020). Thuraissigiam was represented by ACLU lawyers. In the actual case, the court ruled 7-2 in favor of DHS. Each day of camp featured ACLU lawyers as guest speakers who focused on three rights-based issues: immigration, gender-affirming care, and housing. Participants also took direct action through projects like zine writing and making “Know Your Rights” signs for businesses to display in response to ICE activity.
