504- Ready, Set, Ascender!

In this episode, Alejandra and Diana start us off by talking about Ascender’s 10-year anniversary and ACC’s El Centro’s 30th Anniversary happening this September! They also spotlight ACC’s Office of Experiential Learning – helping students connect to internships, apprenticeships, and clinicals. Diana talks about some of her favorite thrifting spots and the ladies tell us about a new local restaurant they tried, Marimbas. Their student guest is ACC Social Work and Dance student Joshua Gonzalez-Moreno, who received a Thrive Award from ACC that celebrates students who have demonstrated exceptional perseverance, leadership, and community impact! Joshua talks about his educational journey and love of dance. Heading into the community, Diana interviews the owners of the Strength and Endurance Academy - Irma Avila and Chris Perez.
