“VUE” – Voices Uniting Everyone – is hosted by Larry Davis, Vice Chancellor of Belonging and Purpose at Austin Community College. Listen in on important conversations about belonging and community from ACC’s faculty and current students. In this episode, Larry talks with Dr. Amber Sarker, ACC Student Development Associate Professor, who teaches ACC’s Learning Frameworks EDUC 1300 class. EDUC 1300 is a key learning success course that teaches incoming students “how to college.” Plus, we meet Dr. Sarker’s student, Laura Escobedo, who returns to school 20 years into her career as a CNA working towards her Occupational Therapy degree. Laura talks about how EDUC 1300 helped her become a confident and successful student at ACC.
