The Cooper Center Music Makers, formerly known as the Newton Swing Band, are back at the Wellesley COA! The Cooper Center Music Makers are a group of about 20 mostly amateur musicians who enjoy playing and singing a repertoire mostly from the Great American Songbook. The band’s ‘home’ is the recently constructed Cooper Center for Active Living in Newtonville and they practice every Tuesday afternoon, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m., and all are welcome to sit in on practices, and sing along!
