The Berkley Village Hall and Fire-Police Station: A History with Dale A. Carlson. Join author, architectural historian and Berkley resident Dale A. Carlson as he recounts the storied history of Berkley’s Old Village Hall & Fire-Police Station at the corner of Coolidge & Rosemont. From the planning and design phases, through multiple eras of usage to the current day, Carlson’s presentation will include numerous historic and contemporary images including Royal Oak Daily Tribune and Berkley Advance clippings, original blueprints and Berkley Village Commission minutes. Learn more about the circumstances necessitating the Hall’s erection in 1928 and the subsequent additions constructed in 1957, 1973 and 1990, finishing with the founding of the Berkley Historical Museum in 1991.
