ER Urban Renewal 1970
Take a walk down memory lane and see what East Rochester was like in the early 1970’s. This Super 8mm motion picture film was shot by Gene Parotta, the year the Urban Renewal program began. Gene had the foresight to document all the old buildings and businesses before they were torn down. If you lived in East Rochester back in the 60’s and 70’s, you’ll recognize a lot of old businesses and a lot of familiar faces. Stored at the East Rochester Department of Local History, the production crew at ERCN transferred and restored this film. Retired East Rochester Town Judge, Ralph Morabito, provides the narration. We hope you enjoy this ERCN exclusive.
