Julie Keleman grew up in Nigeria when a military dictator was assassinated in a civil war. By the time she was 8 years old she thought assassinations and unrest were 'normal.' As an adult she knows what a violent government looks like and this has influenced her value of the right to vote. She thinks choosing our leadership by vote is better than by guns.
