After a vehicle crash in 2020, April is working on building a new life with a traumatic brain injury. "I'm a survivor" she says. Growing up in a tough environment and working on her PHD dissertation at the time of the accident has led to her to a place of trusting the process of life. And Friends With Disabilities has been a powerful way for her to combat the loneliness that comes with learning to live a new life with a disability.
