Media Shift is a program that aims to empower aspiring media makers by providing them with the necessary resources and support to create impactful documentaries. By offering training, mentorship, and production resources, Media Shift helps these individuals overcome the barriers they often face in sharing their stories. In just 15 weeks, participants are equipped with the skills, guidance, and tools needed to produce a 5-7 minute documentary that showcases multiple perspectives. Check out this testimonial video featuring Brentson S. from the Fall 2023 cohort, where they share their experience and discuss their documentary, "Blind Faith," which explores walkability in Kalamazoo.
