MRC Industries, a non-profit specializing in uplifting individuals with disabilities and mental illness, will be opening a thrift shop on Gull Rd. to help support their mission. The new store, called ThriftAbility, will provide real-world skills and opportunities for their clients as well as generate revenue for their programs. MRC Industries currently has a storefront in downtown Kalamazoo on the mall, ArtWorks, that sells paintings, drawings, jewelry and more, made by artists in their programs.
