Public Media Network joined Vibe Fest at Kalamazoo Valley Community College – Texas Township Campus to connect with students and staff during this vibrant campus event. Our team set up conversations to uncover authentic stories about life in college, the challenges students face, and the dreams that keep them moving forward. We had the opportunity to interview John Payne, Jillian Bramma, Atiba Walker, Monta Barkin, Big O, and Jayden, who each shared unique perspectives on their college experience as an educator and as a student. From navigating education and personal growth to reflecting on campus culture and future goals, their voices shed light on what it truly means to be part of the KVCC community. This project amplifies student voices and gives a platform to real stories—highlighting not just academics, but also what’s really on the minds of students, academic leaders and others to support KVCC today.
