On March 22, a mobile polar plunge was held in the parking lot of Jack’s Abby in downtown Framingham. Last year, Special Olympics Massachusetts unveiled the plunge tank—known as “Bear Force One”—in an effort to make polar plunges more accessible. Money raised during this recent plunge will be used to help Special Olympics teams across the state including the local MetroWest Flyers. We spoke with the Local Program Coordinator for the Flyers Annalia Aviza, as well as some of the team members and polar plunge participants, to learn more about this important cause.
