OHS 2015 : Priya Kumar - 2015

Priya has been dancing since the age of seven and is trained in BharatNatyam and Kuchipudi (classical Indian dance forms). She has performed extensively for cultural events and conventions in the US and Canada. She is also a vocalist and has performed in Rome, India, Bangladesh and other destinations. For Open House Showcase, she performs Shiv Shakti, a pure Indian classical dance in the Kuchipudi style. Kuchipudi dance is known for its intricate footwork, rhythmic patterns and expressive hand gestures. This dance glorifies Lord Shiva and his wife Parvati.
